The Nigerian Gas Processing and Transportation Company (NGPTC), which was incorporated in July 2016, as one of the Subsidiaries of NNPC is a successor company to the former Nigerian Gas Company (NGC) Limited. NGPTC has the mandate of gathering, processing and transporting gas to its customers.
NGPTC is committed to providing world class infrastructures for the delivery of on-specification natural gas and its by-products to customers in a safe, reliable, profitable and environmentally sustainable manner.

Freedom to Operate Projects currently being executed in our host Communities include;
- Pipeline Infrastructure for Gas Supply to Ugborodo for 500kva Gas Driven Generating Plant
- Pipeline Infrastructure for Gas Supply to Azama and Tebijor in Gbaramatu Kingdom for 2 X 500kva Gas Driven Generating Plant
Expansion of Escravos Lagos Pipeline System (ELPS II)
ELP Phase II Project involves the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of a 342km x 36" Class 600 gas pipeline. The Project spans from Oben node at PS1 in Delta state to Itoki at PS5 in Ogun state. The project rationale is to increase the installed capacity of ELPS System from 1,100mmscfd to 2,200mmscfd.
Obiafu/Obrikom - Oben (OB3) Gas Pipeline Project
The OB3 gas pipeline is a 130km circa x 48" East-West gas pipeline traversing from Obiafu / Obrikom in Rivers State via Oben Metering station in Edo state to Oben node on the Escravos Pipeline system (ELPS) in Delta state. The project has the capacity to deliver 2,000MMscfd of gas .
Trans-Nigeria Gas Pipeline Project (TNGP)
The Trans-Nigeria Gas pipeline (TNGP) will transport about 2.7Bscfd of gas across southern Nigeria up to the Northern parts of the country. This project comprises of three proposed gas transmission systems that will evacuate gas resources from the reserves –rich Eastern Niger Delta and Offshore to the rest of the country and export.
