Engr Austin Oniwon, NNPC’s Group General Manager, Research & Development has been conferred with a fellowship of the Chemical Society of Nigeria.

The honour was conferred on Engr. Oniwon at a dinner recently organized to mark the end of an international conference put together by the Chemical Society of Nigeria in Abuja.

According to the society, Engr Oniwon was being honoured for his contribution to the development of chemistry and allied subjects, in terms of industrial applications as well as for coordinating activities of chemistry in the chemical industry.

Engr Oniwon from Kogi state, is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he obtained his first degree. He has several diplomas obtained from various institutions in the United State, United Kingdom and France.

He has worked in several capacities within the NNPC group including Managing Director at the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC) and Eleme Petrochemicals Company Limited.
