The Managing Director of Integrated Data Services Limited (IDSL), a
subsidiary of the NNPC, Dr Joseph Dawha has assured its host communities in
Benin that it would continue to embark on project that would be meaningful
to their growth and development.
Dr Dawha said this recently while commissioning a renovated block of six
classrooms which IDSL carried out at the Ekhaguere Primary school in Benin
City. The Managing Director was represented at the event by the company’s
Executive Director Services, Mrs. Olive Egbuta.
Dr Dawha said that IDSL carried out the project out of its commitment to
fostering sustainable cordial relationship with its host communities.
Also speaking at the commissioning ceremony the Edo State commissioner for
Basic Education, Barrister Uyi Ogbemudia, praised IDSL for its dedication to
community development. She noted that since her assumption of office, IDSL
has shown its commitment to being a socially responsible corporate
organisation.
The commissioner who thanked the Oko and Ekhaguere communities for making
the environment conducive for IDSL to operate in, enjoined all other
companies operating in Edo state to emulate IDSL’s community development
efforts.
In her address at the occasion, headmistress of Ekhaguere Primary school,
Mrs. F.O Aigbogun thanked the IDSL for the renovation work it carried out at
the school and appealed for further support from other well- meaning
individuals and corporate organisation in Edo state.
The scope work of the renovation work included re-roofing, replacement of
ceiling boards, replacement of doors and windows, re-flooring and
re-painting of the block of six classrooms. The project which cost three
million naira was completed within three months.
