Objectives

  • To ensure full compliance with all relevant Industry health related legislations

  • Provide Comprehensive Diagnostic and Curative Healthcare to staff and dependants
  • Provide Comprehensive Occupational Services to staff in compliance with regulations
  • Provide health promotion and preventive healthcare to staff
  • Provide counseling to staff as need arises
  • Ensure an agile & productive workforce

Health Policies

Corporate Obligations

  • Out patient & In-patient  treatment  for an employee, and 8 registered dependants including spouse(s) and children under 18 yrs, except while in school
  • Full cost of child delivery for female employee and the registered wife of the male employee.
  • Cost of treatment received by an employee during annual leave or during emergencies if bills are certified by the corporation
  • Treatment & Maintenance of employee accidentally injured in the course of work
  • Cost of Dental care provided but not including procurement of dentures
  • Cost of treatment for eye diseases including surgeries where necessary and provision of lenses & frames for staff and dependants subject to approval limits.
  • Corporation will not replace lenses within 2yrs of collecting any pair from the corporation
  • Staff will be responsible for paying for their lost frame outside the 2 yrs time limits, regardless of the circumstances of loss
  • Staff & Dependants may collect lenses only from their permanent locations.
  • Retirees and their registered spouses are entitled to all the corporation’s medical benefits

Overseas Medical treatment

  • Approvals are granted for specific treatment and payment shall be restricted to this only.
  • Allowances shall be provided to pay for expenses including accommodation and transport
  • Full cost of Hospital treatment shall be paid for but shall exclude cost of international telephone call, cost of extra meals for guests, accommodation for any extra person in the hospital
  • Extension or payment of any additional allowance after the initial approval shall be solely at the discretion of the Corporation
  • NNPC reserves the right to terminate the treatment at any point if:
  • Corporation is unable to accommodate the cost
  • No significant gains of continuing treatment
