MISSION

INVESTMENT DIVISION ENGAGES IN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY INVESTMENT IN ENERGY, PROPERTY AND OTHER VENTURES THAT ADD VALUE TO NNPC

The Investment Division is empowered to grow NNPC's revenue through profitable investments worldwide. It i's to be the leading provider of investment income for NNPC.

The Division is made up of the following departments:

1. Property Investment Department – manages and maintains all NNPC income generating properties worldwide. Currently, the Department is involved in the commercialisation of banking and other commercial spaces within the NNPC Towers and all other NNPC locations and PPMC depots nationwide. They are also involved in building a comprehensive database and proper documentation of all NNPC landed property as well as advising NNPC management on property acquisition, investment and development activities.

2. Downstream Investment Department – is charged with the responsibility of rebuilding and expanding NNPC’s investment portfolios in the capital market, international equity fund management and supervises NNPC’s stake-holding in the JV companies (Duke Oil, NAPOIL, Hyson/Calson, and Nigermed)

3. Upstream Investment Department – was recently established with the following identified areas of business; marine services (supply boats, anchor handling vessels, geotechnical survey, production service vessels, and standby boats), oil and gas reserve certification and environmental control and waste management. 4. NIDAS International Enterprises Ltd – was established in February 2007 and is a JV shipping company between NNPC and Daewoo Shipping and Marine Building Engineering Co. Ltd. It is focusing on marine transportation of crude oil and petroleum products and intends to expand into cabotage and other oil and gas related activities.

5. NIKORMA – is a JV shipping company NNPC and Misc Berhad (Misc) of Malaysia, Hyundai Heavy Industries of South Korea and Deepwater Shipping and Marine Company of Nigeria. It was established to provide LNG transport services to clients on commercial basis and to assist in capacity building of Nigerians in LNG shipping operations.
