ITD is an acronym for information Technology Division. It currently consist of Information Systems and Telecommunication Departments.

How Do We Intend To Achieve This Mission?

Information Technology division shall accomplish this through highly skilled professional workforce and proven technology. We will engage tested consultants to help deliver our objectives to NNPC.

Our approach to project delivery shall by the use of “proof-of-Concept” (POC) to ensure the technology works before we deploy. We will avoid the “Big Bang” approach to reduce risk of failure.

What Does ITD Plan To Do?

To address the current challenges, NNPC requires a fundamental upgrade of its IT and business process infrastructure. By looking at value creation and the ability of the organization to assimilate change, a phased corporate automation implementation is recommended. This focus will be:

• Implementing improved and automated financial, sales and human resource processes.
• Automating budgeting, budgetary control and financial consolidation to enable better business control and ensure speedy business reporting.
• Aligning jobs and roles in areas impacted to effectively assimilate and use the new technology enabled processes.
• Building the IT infrastructure required to enable the implementation of the new technology to enable business processes as well as core application such as the email system.
• Building the IT service management organization required to support the new infrastructure and ensure its smooth running.
